Come out and support the #changarrito artist of the month, Savannah Diaz!
The Changarrito pop-up mobile art gallery will be set up at the front of the museum on March 14th, 15th, 21st & 22nd from 12pm-3pm! These changarrito mobile carts feature contemporary latinx artists and provides them the opportunity to sell their art directly to patrons. Not only does Mexic-Arte provide the gallery space and changarrito for the artistas, they also procure a piece for their permanent collection.
The artist, Savannah Diaz, is currently based in Austin but was born and raised in Miami. Her work is inspired by her cultural background as a Cuban-American and explores various mediums like wood working, wax sculpture, and digital collage. Right now she is primarily focused on painting.
